Knoxville Uechi Ryu Karate School offers two different options for classes. Classes are typically 2 hours long and can cover stretching, kihon (basics), kata, bunkai (applications), kumite (Pre-arranged sparring), kobudo (weapons) and free sparring.
Payment Methods
We accept Cash, Checks, Venmo and Paypal. Payments can be made to either Shihan Bob or Sensei Dai David.
Option 1:
1 class a week (Saturday or Tuesday) Free for the first month for new students, $50 per month thereafter.
Option 2:
2 Classes a week (Saturday and Tuesday) Free for the first month for new students, $80 per month thereafter.
Attending Class 2 is also available for a once a visit $15 mat fee if you’re unable to commit to a monthly schedule.
Uniforms, Belts, Equipment and T-Shirts
We order equipment through our supply partner, Tiger Claw Martial Arts. Most items can be purchased at a reduced rate if you order through our school.
Testing Fees
Kyu Ranks: We do not charge additional fees for Kyu Ranks and students are only responsible for purchasing a new belt.
Dan Ranks (Black Belts): All of our dan ranked students are registered with the IUKF and are internationally recognized. There is a $100 fee, which is paid to the IUKF for each dan rank which will have you added to the IUKF registry and includes a IUKF certificate of rank.
